Have you considered that the people that have recently left CA would have voted for Larry?

I think it's no. 1, regardless of the outcome of the 2022 elections. Not enough Americans are fed up with Leftist policies. If they were, we wouldn't be anywhere near where we are now. Ask a typical voter to tell you exactly what Leftism is, and you probably won't get a good answer. So how can we expect them to be "fed up" with Leftism? They don't even know what it really is or what it's doing to them. This is what happens when you dumb down a society for 50 years. Eventually you get a really dumb society. Before long, they won't even have to steal elections to win.

I agree that few Americans could articulate what leftism is. However, they can sense things they don't like. American politics is cyclical. A hard left turn in this country is almost always followed by a move to the right. Following FDR, conservatism experienced a resurgence. Ronald Reagan was elected in response to an overreaching government in the aftermath of the Great Society, Richard Nixon, and Jimmy Carter. Look at Biden's poll numbers generally, and as it pertains to his vaccine proclamation. People don't like it.

Yes, Americans can sense things they don't like, but if they don't properly connect what they sense with its actual cause, then we can't expect their dislike to lead them to get rid of the cause. Sure, they're not happy with this or that thing Biden has done, and they might even admit that he is the one who did it, but all they have to do is hear the name "Trump" or some other "trigger" word, and they'll vote for Biden and his ilk again, in a heartbeat. Doing the opposite of that is to admit they were wrong, and we both know how hard it is for people to do that. Are enough voters even rational anymore? It isn't clear to me that they are. It is nearly impossible to use rational analysis to predict what irrational people will do. Political voting history may not be quite the guide it used to be. Again, how did we get to be where we are? Your recent posts rightly indicate that we've "come a long way, baby," to quote an old cigarette commercial.
